Villa Maria Retreat October 31 - November 2, 2008
This year's 2007 retreat has been moved to after the holidays. Now won't this be a great time for relaxation and rebuilding during the grey of the winter. Time to retreat to the castle.
Our project choices are all able to be finished during our weekend (except the Anny Blatt) and include: a speedy, easy Treasure Hunt afghan, originally by Judy Van Cleve, or
The Alaska Sweater of Brown Sheep Burly Spun, or
Variations of my Needles Sweater, any of which are 6 stitches to 4 inches designed in varietal yarns or Burly Spun. Although the offer still stands to work a very difficult sweater, I have an old, old Anny Blatt, hippie looking many fancy yarns intarsia picked out to try. Or do your own thing ñ Iíll be ready for lots of questions!
Friday we have meet, greet and share time, with tea and treats. Saturday is full of class, walks, food, naps, fun time, reflection, Sunday we finish up and head out, all refreshed.
The cost is: $200 with a roommate, $250 as a single room. We arrive Friday afternoon and are on your own for dinner, and leave Sunday afternoon. Meals provided are 3 Saturday and Brunch on Sunday. The rooms are cozy with comfy cots and linens. Occasionally massages are available, call ahead to schedule.
